A Mass Collab project - Feel free to join in!

Thu Nov 16, 2006, 8:18 AM
  • Mood: Sociable
  • Listening to: Rammstein
  • Reading: Fragments of other people's lives
  • Watching: The calendar. :(
  • Playing: ... with... myself... As usual.
  • Eating: Depressingly, no one.
  • Drinking: Dr. Pepper.
(Name pending)

So I've stumbled upon a lovely little site. [link] to be exact.

And it made me think, "I quite enjoyed that."

And it made me think, "An organized effort to let people find things would be great."

And so I'm going to try to do just that.

THE PLAN!
In a week of spring (Date pending: Most likely May) every one participating will set off and leave little notes all around their respective home city.
What YOU need to participate:
1) A day off in May.
2) A post-it pad, or your own personal derivative.
3) Some tape (to tape the notes onto other notes).
4) An imagination (Optional!)

So let's start gathering up neat little cards. I want to buy a post-it-note pad, and be entirely done with it by the end of the day.
Feel free to add little blurbs that would for other people, but not for you. And vice versa. Maybe they're inspire some one.

Some examples:

I probably don't know you
And you probably don't know me
But you should still read this
I kinda wish I knew
Just what to say to
Make you happy
But I guess I have to
Settle with hoping for
A split-second of mental bliss

There's a young man in Red Deer, Alberta
(Which is a province in Canada)
And he thanks you for having a good day.
If you're not having a good day,
Could you try harder, for him?

Hi! I'm kind of boring.
But I'm looking for interesting people
to talk to. Are you interesting?
If so, want to talk?
<Contact information>
(And even if you aren't?)

It's a lovely, lovely day
In the month of May
For you, I pray
That you're doing okay!

<Doodle of a bunny>
<Tiny script>
This is a bunny.
He wants to give you a hug.
Have a nice day!

<Will look for a small, local business that will let me tape this to their window>
Hi. I'm not affiliated with this shop,
And I'm not trying to sell you anything.
I hope you're having a nice day.
I bet <Shop owner's name> would have a better day if you bought something, though...

Post little messages! We've got to get a lot down, even if we do have quite a few months ahead. Post ideas of where to put them! On the backs of parking meters! Corners in alley-ways! Play ground equipment! On that bus-stop bench! Anywhere (that won't obstruct a necessary function, for example, the front of a parking meter.)

It's weird that people on your other account have some bad things to say about you but not here. I guess if I was as rude as you I need two accounts to hide to.
:iconlevdir:
Way to not get the joke.
